The scale of Buddhist Convent is not big and there are not many pilgrims but the delightful Buddhist musical instruments and the gentle sutras sound added some mysterious and secret to the quiet valley.
The Canggong Buddhist Convent has more than 1,300 years of history. It is located on the south of Bakuo Street in Lhasa. This was once the place where the Tibetan King, Songzan Ganbu lived a pious life and meditates in the reign of Tufan. Presently, there are altogether 87 nuns in the Buddhist Convent. The age of the oldest nun is 84 years old and the youngest is 20 years old.
